An investigation on corrosion properties of bright Zn‐Ni alloy coated mild steel

Abstract In the present work, electrodeposition of Zn–Ni alloy from Sulfate bath was carried out in presence a novel brightener (CG), condensation product Cysteine Hydrochloride and Glutaraldehyde. The corrosion studies were using Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy Potentiostatic techniques. They confirmed an increase resistance protection ability bright zinc–nickel coatings. Surface morphology studied SEM, FTIR, reflectance that revealed fine‐grained nature Zn‐Ni crystallites. X‐ray diffraction used for phase identification preferred orientation crystallites along (630) planes configured appearance coating. CG successful giving even, homogeneous, refined, deposit.
